ive had the same ct-288 for nearly 10 years. the leg lock mechanisms started to break from new, but it was a gift, so i didnt want to complain. anyway, today i finally found the problem!!
under the lever (which has a cam) is a tiny part, which transmits the pressure onto the next telescopic part of the leg. this tiny part has an arrow on it, which is supposed to point upwards. all of mine point downwards (because they were assembled incorrectly), and excessive pressure is therefore applied to the pin mounting points which understandably break. these tiny pieces differ slightly in thickness for the upper locks and lower ones. i dont suppose you found replacements, but if you did, please tell me where at charlie@mfazambia.com . needed for each lock is the lock body, cam lever, tiny part beneath cam as mentioned above, and pin to hold cam to body (4 parts) cheers!

i was wondering if you ever found replacement leg locks for your tripod? im not looking for some as well but havent been able to find anywhere to buy them!
