my sony rdr_hx525 dvd recorder will not play dvds and i cannot dub recorded material on to a disc. is there an alternative to fitting a new dvd hard drive which i have been told it not economical in relation to replacing the machine?

hi im looking for the power board for a sony rdr-gx300, 12v down to 3.5v. would prefer recon part, says on board that there are fuses but tested 240v drop down and there is power, no volts out of the unit. need p&p is s60. thanks hope to here from you soon.

my sony dvd recorder rdr gx120 fails to do anything except displays welcome and the fan runs. ive tried holding down the off key to restart it, leaving it unplugged overnight, plugging it in with the eject key held down, but nothing seems to move it on from welcome. there is no disc in the drive.
any ideas?

i own a sony model rdr-vx410 dvd/vcr combi recorder.
the dvd drive does not open or close when the open/close button on the machine or the remote are pressed.
i think that the dvd drive does not operate.
can you help and advise whre i can buy a repalcement dvd drive
