i have a sony v8 handycam ccd-trv21e and when i try to play back tapes and also occasionally when recording, a symbol flashes, (no 8 in the handbook which says some other trouble has occured disconnect power and contact service centre).
they want to charge 180 just to look at it. is there anywhere, preferably local to bradford west yorkshire, where i can have lit ooked at for a lot less. or maybe some can tell me what i can try to solve the problem myself.

hi,

i have a sony camcorder dcr-sr72e, and my lcd became unreadible always showing horizonal buzz.
i believer this might be some kind of fault with a cable connecting to the lcd.

i would like to fix it but as my warranty has expired it is no option of doing it otherwise than on my own.
would anyone have any suggestions or advice how can i fix such issue?

hi, i own a sony handycam model number: hdr-sr11e, it works fine, but the lcd touch screen is damaged, i can still press the touch screen buttons but, theres a crack on the screen and i need a replacement as getting it fixed by sony is about the same price as buying the same model.

6 weeks ago ive bought a sony camcorder(handycam dcr-sr68) from the states and after comming back home in west bank-palestinian territories, sudenly i found it not working,even doesnt show any light like charging light.
it looks that it has no electrical connection (while battery is full).

1. small ribbon cable (size 1cm x 3cm approx) which connects to the microphone & also the infra
red remote, etc.
2. ribbon cable for the lcd side screen.
3. silver outer cabinet/half housing on which the lcd screen is mounted. part number 162 on the

hi i have a dcr-dvd310e sony camcorder, this is only 2yrs old & has had very little use . i have been useing it mainly for recording straight to the 8cm dvd. it has never been dropped or damaged & was looked after . recently it started just turning itself of, first off it stayed on for 10 to 15 seconds but now just shuts straight off while making a slight crunching noise almost as if it has a laser off its track if you see what i mean. my local repairer has sent it away but phoned me to say it was uneconomical to repaire 300. not sure i beleive them . has this happend to any body else if so what is it can it be fixed without costing an arm & a leg. they hav`nt told me what they think is wrong with it. to make it worse my baby son has since started walking & i dont have it on video, bugger.
any help much appreciated.

my sons dcr sx50 doent record sound anymore. that is the db indication changes but at playback there is no sound. on the other hand playing back older movies on the internal memory play with sound and without any problem. so it is a weird problem, the camera seems to recognize the sound (db indication) but does not record it. any suggestions on repairing this?

hi, i have a sony dcr-hc53 handycam.
my lcd screen wont allow me to make any selections. the camera still records, but i cant rewind or playback, or change any settings, because the touch screen wont accept any commands. the screen shows everything fine and all the options but none of the touchpoints will allow you to do anything. can you help me? i suppose its broken cable between the lcd and card.
