hi
i need to know how to take my p1000 digital camera apart,to replace a broken screen.ihave the new screen and have taken out all the visible screws but the back of the camera appears to be held by something at the top centre,i dont want to force it in case i damage it.can you help please

fairly quick (from hk), just over a week.
i removed all visable screws + 1 behind dc in flap. a sharp thumb nail is usefull in seperating the two case parts (or the enclosed tool). in reply to glyn - yes it seemed to hang at the top, however if you slide your thumb nail under the back casing it pops off fairly easily.
the old lcd needs to be lifted from its frame to reveal the ribbon cable connector. dont just pull! lift the tiny black flap (ribbon side, not pcb). insert new screen ribbon (right side up) then gently fold back the flap to secure. not sure about the enclosed instruction to desolder keystroke board - i didnt.
