panasonic lumix dmc-tz5; black; bought july 2008. nice results, until it gave error message, switch off, then switch on again, which apparently means the camera has been dropped (never happened, as far as i know). repairer says it needs a replacement pc board, but these boards are unobtainable, even from panasonic japan! camera obsolete? surely not.
any help will be appreciated.

3.7.2010 i broke one of the cables to the lenses while putting my lumix fx500 back together. i would like to buy the black lenses parts, together with the two cables, that you can detach from the their two ports for, lets say for 100 euros. i live in finland. please write to me at teemumilto@gmail.com.
originally, i sat on the lumix fx500 while its lens opened, and cracked one of the plastic spikes in the mechanics, and some other joints. those 1 mm plastic plastic are ridiculously weak - crappy and cheap design. i glued them back together, got the zooming and mechanics working, but then got a little careless - trying to make a webcam film at the same time. i busted it.

hi there.
my camera was looking to be holding additional lens badly. on closer inspection, i see the internal plastic ring that clips and holds the actual lens intself into place, is broken. it should have 3 claws on the back, one is broken. so it wont hold the weight of the lenss when they pull at it.
its a panasonic lumix fz38.
where can i get this repaired?

hi there ive dropped my lumix tz5 while the lens was zoomed out the camera itself is fine but the lens is stuck in position and the chrome outer casing around the lens is badly damaged, when the camera is turned off the lens stays out as it wont rotate as off the dented casing . can this be repaired and is it worth repairing if so ? thanks dan

hi.
ive got a panasonic lumix dmc tz2 camera about 3 years old. the top half of the shutter wont open on switching on and the bottom half wont close on switching off. i can open and close the shutter manually, but this is a nuisance, especially if i forget and the shots are ruined because theyre half-covered by the shutter. can it be fixed? can i try anything myself? is it worth fixing? where can i get it done in sw scotland? at what likely cost? many thanks for your help.
