I also have an Olympus 700 7.1. megapixel. The fault I have is that the camera will not take a picture on any flash setting. The flash indicator will blink continuously and if one tries to take a picture a green spot appears at the side of the red flash sign. The battery is fully charged and the camera takes pictures when the flash setting is off.

I have an Olympus micro 700 7.1 megapixel digital camera which has recently developed a fault as follows:-when switched to any camera settings, operation of the power switch causes the lense to partially open and extend and immediately close again, a couple of times. I have had experience of minor repairs to watches and small electro-mechanical devices can you supply any helpful advice which may avoid prohibitively expensive repair bills? I have tried fully charging the battery and temporilly changing with a new battery with no success. Thanking you in anticipation. Dennis
