my 1tb hard drive also fell down like stuart bone above pulling on the usb connection. this broke the conector off the circuit board. i have been able to slide off the cover and remove the board. is is possible to buy a new board. its a hitachi 1.0 tb ls-1000-emea can anyone help ?

Hi, my Hitachi HDT722525DLAT80 fell off a table and now it makes this regular klack sound. Also it doesnt reach the speed for the computer to be able to recognize it. I opened it and somehow this very fragile part that actually reads the data from the disc seems to be broken and the arm that holds it scratches the disc slightly. What can I do? Is it fixable or can I get the data in any other way? Thanks very much, help is much appreciated!!!

My 1tb hard drive fell off my table pulling on the usb connection. This broke the conector off the circuit board. I have been able to slide off the cover and remove the board, reattchedconnectoir to circuit board but unit still doesnt power up. is is possible to buy a new circuit board. its a hitachi 1.0 tb Silver ns-1000-emea

I have a hitch deskstar model HDT725050VLAT80 when It fires up it makes an unhealthy repeated sound like a low frequency police siren! Hi-Lo Hi-Lo etc It has been working fine till now! Is it the board ? and do you sell them ? Kind regards Adrian

I have a Hitachi SATA1 TB hard drivemodel: HDT721010SLA360 which did the trip to the floor, I will try to repair it by replace the print on the underside of the hard drive, so I want to hear about You have such print and what will the price be ?
